Inside Jessie and Rhett’s Fabulous L.A. Home

Rhett McLaughlin is one half of the “internetainer” comedy pair of “Rhett & Link,” who host a massively popular YouTube show, Good Mythical Morning (which has 17 million subscribers). As previously reported in People, Rhett and his wife, interior designer Jessie McLaughlin, of Jessie Lane Interiors, have spent years meticulously redesigning their eclectic L.A. home (which has been a glossy magazine spread more than just once).

Jessie described her home’s aesthetic in People as, “regency, Boho and Modern Spanish…with a few other things thrown in.” Rhett has much simpler approach: “My aesthetic is I should check with Jessie before I buy this.”

Jessie’s design preferences include an open-floor design that is not constrained by any particular style. She’s embraced the wildness of leopard-print coffee tables, deco glam bathrooms, funky pillows, playful fringes, and Persian and Chinese rugs. She’s stitched her designs together with the chic minimalism of a white-tiled kitchen, modernist coffee table, and the precisely-designed black steel of our Air Double French doors. Jessie’s also turned her guest room into a luxurious office that has what One Kings Lane described as an “old world library feel.”

The exterior of the property includes arched steel doors that balance the ‘70s-style tall ceilings and Spanish-style roof. The interior relies on warmer colors and a decidedly California mood, which includes antique landscape art and boho accents—vintage meets regency—which are sharpened with the precision of steel doors and windows that give Jessie and Rhett’s midcentury classic a uniquely modern edge (“sophisticated and fun”).

The influencer couple’s classic kitchen—which combines hand-forged steel windows with a white brick backsplash—is, as Jessie described it in People, a “hub” which is highlighted by a “breakfast nook, a small peninsula and a computer station in there.”

The power couple now have one of the most talked about and stylistically amorphous homes in L.A.

PINKYS is absolutely delighted to have been a part of their unique vision.
